The celebration of the Naval Bicentennial of the Colombian Navy transformed Cartagena into the epicenter of an event that brought together land and sea in a historic and commemorative experience. Over six days, more than 38,000 people took part in a program that included official ceremonies, cultural showcases, musical performances, and an impressive naval review featuring ships from allied countries such as Portugal, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. This commemoration honored 200 years of the Colombian Navy’s history and its strategic role in the country’s development.
At A2, we had the honor of designing and producing this large-scale institutional event. We developed the entire spatial design, including a large-scale main stage, tents for entrepreneurs, registration areas, perimeter fencing, signage, LED screens, professional sound systems, and all the infrastructure required to ensure a safe, seamless, and memorable experience for attendees. Every element was strategically designed to connect with different types of audiences, from citizens and families to high-ranking naval officials and international representatives.
One of the event’s highlights was the third-day concert, featuring nationally renowned artists and a spectacular nautical setup: dozens of boats joined from the sea while thousands of people enjoyed the show from the shore. The Colombian Navy also welcomed flagship vessels from allied countries such as Portugal, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic, reinforcing the scale and international dimension of the event.
In addition to performances and cultural activities, the agenda included official ceremonies, a naval review, and exhibition spaces that encouraged community participation.
